The 11th BIC is fully compliant with the required safety and prevention measures related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

As per the Italian regulation, the EU Digital COVID Certificate (Green Pass or EUDCC) or equivalent proof of vaccination is required to access the Conference. The EUDCC can be also obtained by performing a PCR test no later than 48 hours before access. After 48 hours, a new test is required.
The Congress venue is located in the Venice Hospital. A COVID-19 checkpoint at the entrance performs temperature checks every morning. Hydrogel dispensers are available at the Venue.

Attendees will be required to wear a surgical mask (or FFP2) at all times when inside the venue. It is not compulsory to wear a mask outdoors, unless there is a crowded situation. It is also mandatory to wear masks on public transport.

Travelling from abroad? Please check the latest regulation to enter Italy and make sure to come prepared. For Schengen countries that have EUDCC in place, it is sufficient to show it Please check with your airline if a PCR is needed to get onboard. Make sure to compile the Passenger Locator Form, as it is compulsory.

From 31 August, travellers from the UK can enter Italy without being required to quarantine if they have proof of vaccination and a negative test taken within 48 hours before entering Italy.

It is possible to enter Italy without the self-quarantine requirement for travellers departing from the USA, Japan, Canada and Israel if they are in possession of the certificates issued by their respective countries.

In case of doubts, please read thoroughly the Italian Health Ministry webpage about travelling during this time.

At the moment, the Veneto region COVID-19 infection rate for the Venice region is 7.5/100.000 – while contagion rates are rising, hospitals are under control and the vaccination campaign is rolling. EUDCC is required to access any indoor activity (e.g., museum visits, indoor dinners, etc.), so please have it on you at all times. An ID may or may not be required. EUDCC will be also required on long-haul trains and flights from the 1st of September.

The BIC Organizers decline any responsibility for delegates not complying with the current regulations.
